The John Curry Memorial Tournament is now underway, and it’s fantastic to see such great skill, effort and sportsmanship on display from all participating teams. We’re delighted to have St Pat’s, St Mary’s, The Nire, An Gaeltacht and Dungarvan as part of what promises to be a brilliant series of U13 games over the coming weeks, building towards Finals Day at the end of March.
Rathgormack U13s opened the tournament at home against St Pat’s in very challenging conditions. Despite a slow start, the lads showed great determination to fight their way back into the game, pushing on in the second half to claim a deserved two-point victory. Strong defending and real resilience — even through a heavy hailstone shower — saw the team hold firm until the final whistle.
Thanks to St Pat’s for an excellent and sporting contest, and to all supporters who came out to show their support.
Our next fixture is on Tuesday 24th February against Dungarvan GAA
